With digitization and social media, the variety of channels for content marketing communication has escalated. And with it, also the complexity of coordinating the production of content marketing campaigns. Social media posts, stories and reels, promotional and point-of-sale content, product demos, testimonials, ads are only some examples of content marketing channels. Each employing media differently, and with its own format, tone and characteristics, coordinating different content production freelancers/teams across these channels can be a challenge. Especially when aiming at preserving an overall consistency to the brand image. A more flexible approach is needed.

Graphics, text, music, animation, photography, video. One of the challenges is represented by the variety of media involved in modern-day content marketing communication.
In 2008, announcing the release of its latest photo-camera model, Canon spurred a revolution in the field of video-making. Arguably the very first High Definition Single Lens Reflex camera (HDSLR), the Canon 5D Mark II was the first photo-camera to also support Full-HD video recording.
I started shooting both photography and video on HDSLRs in 2009. Except for projects with requirements that made other professional video cameras preferable – for which I mostly left the camera operation in the hands of a specialist to focus on directing – hybrid cameras have been my working horse for both photography and video work since then. I’ve been a proud owner of a full-frame, mirrorless Sony Alpha 7R II – the series of professional cameras continuing the hybrid legacy of HDSLRs – for almost a decade.
In 2023, I again welcomed another revolution in media production as advances in generative artificial intelligence turned it into an invaluable tool for content creation. read less

As an image maker, I see myself belonging to a breed of all-round professionals who embraced flexibility as their raison d’être. My interdisciplinary academic and professional background provided the foundation. I learnt the ropes as a one-man-band videomaker, gaining hands-on experience in all the different stages of production, including nonlinear audio/visual editing, operating HD video cameras, graphic and motion design. I then used this experience to direct small teams on video-productions, developing concepts, supervising all the steps of the process, most of the time doubling as an editor. I’ve worked with different budgets, workflows and a wide variety of products: TV spots, interviews, animations, social media, promotional, educational, product, point-of-sale videos for both NGO and commercial clients.

As a freelance image maker, I’m either available for hire to single-handedly shoot and edit both still and moving images, or as a creative producer directing/overseeing a production team. In both cases, I can handle the whole production process, from conception to pre-production, shooting and post-production.
