Alessandro Corsini is an image-maker, a freelance visual artist working with video and photography, based in Berlin, Germany, since 2010. Born in Milan (Italy) in the seventies, and having spent his childhood years on the pristine beaches of Sardinia, he had his first encounter with photography at the age of 12, during a summer course about black & white film photography at his intermediate school in Maryland, USA. The interest for media has since guided his multifaceted formation, leading him not only to study and work with different media, but actually exploring them through artistic, scientific, and applied arts lenses. During his postgraduate studies, he embraced the digital revolution, expanding his production to include also video, interactive media and hybrid languages. At the beginning of 2023, he again welcomed the next disruptive technology in the field of imaging: generative artificial intelligence. His eclectic body of work is a reflection of his free spirit, cosmopolitan upbringing, and interdisciplinary background – which includes also work for major advertising agencies, for national broadcast television programs, as well as research and university-teaching experiences. Having learnt the ropes as a one-man-band visual artist, he has hands-on experience in the different stages of producing and editing both photography and videography, including nonlinear audio/visual editing, operating HD video cameras, graphic and motion design. His professional emphasis is on envisioning and creating compelling audiovisual and photographic content for brands and NGOs. Conversely, his artistic focus centers on fine-art, conceptual photography that navigates and blends genres and techniques, with brushed-aluminum prints being his medium of choice.
